Oh Look, A Website

The fact that I hadn't finished my own website until now is pretty absurd. I've been making sites professionally for ages, so you'd think I could wrap it up pretty quickly. Unfortunately, I found it easy to keep putting off decisions on what it should look like. This site is supposed to be representative of my work and abilities, after all -- especially since it's what I do for a living. In the end, I realized, no matter how I've built things up in my head, it's just a website.

That's a lie. I just wanted to try out firebase. Tech wins every time.

Either way, I've opted to break the cycle and just get it done, with the expectation that I'll update incrementally. Instead of delaying even longer while I fidget with fancier features, I've focused on making content as easy to consume as possible. Once again proving myself a sucker for minimalism: we've got a one-collumn layout that resizes nicely to mobile with a clean sans-serif font, and a night-mode/day-mode toggle up top to help with that whole eye-strain issue. (While I personally like the light version of the theme, I find bright sites exhausting for anything requiring concentration. Either way, the option is yours.)

I intend to make this a home to both my hobbies, like video game development, tabletop gaming (content creation and delivery for systems like Dungeons & Dragons), screen printing, cake decorating...basically, I like design of all types. And I want to include some tutorials for the tools that I use, like Blender (3D modeling program) and Phaser (javascript game engine).

Next on the to-do list is to get some other pages added, then add some pictures of the art I've got hanging around. The pages I'm thinking are

So, until then.
